The belligerent NO

This sweet little thing, this kind kid, this child who shares, and kisses, and hugs, and generally complies.....has grabbed a hold of the belligerent NO with both hands. He discovered it this morning, and promptly saw fit to use it about 20 times throughout the day. I alternated between wanting to run out the house screaming, and curl up in the fetal position crying.

The NO thing. Argh. It's here. Advice welcome.

EWWWW! I hate the "NO" phase with a passion.

Be firm, but pick your battles. He's just figuring out he actually has a voice in which to express what his desires are and he's testing his limits.

You are bigger than him....end of problem. Good luck with that one though...love you and can recommend a good botox person for those upcoming furrows in your brow!

3 writing and identifying his name
32 months ~ dressing and undressing himself
29 months ~ potty trained
26 mos ~ singing the alphabet.
26 mos ~ Singing songs, "reading" books to himself or to Julia
Almost 2 ~ No more crib, bed only
23 Months ~ Knows all of the letters of the Alphabet
22 Mos~ Knows primary colors, some letters, some numbers. Using 3 word sentences.
20 Mos ~ The whole "pee'd in potty" thing several times a day
