Snaggletooth

Baby girl has a top tooth. It's not just ANY top tooth, however. It's the biggest top baby tooth I have ever seen. I am fascinated by it. I swear it appears to be as wide as one of MY teeth. I can't wait to see it all the way in. And I am assuming that it has an equally giant top tooth mate, who is just about to burst through. She is tolerating it well, other than the 6 am wakeups (ugh) the random crying jags, (ugh), the rivers of drool, the resulting diaper, uh, changes, and then redness to accompany that. Other than those few things, it's been a breeze ;).

To offset her pain, she has become the worlds funniest kisser. Baby girl loves to give out kisses. Thing is, she sticks out her bottom lip, goes in for the kiss, and does not move away. It makes me laugh so hard I think that I scare her. I see how long she can go, just smashed up against my face, lip to lip, eye to eye. I end it every time because I can't keep myself from laughing. I really think that Jules could stay in a kiss for hours. I love it.

From the Archives

I just found this picture on my computer. Its my family, on the beach in Cape May two summers ago. I love it. I had totally forgotten that I had it and I need to print a copy. That's Luke's little head on my shoulder and Jules is in belly.

Nate has been away all week and it's been a long one. Everyone is healthy, which is great, but Jules is working on 4 new top teeth and she has taken to following me around the house, crying, for the past 2 days. That gets really old. Jules I love you to death but jeez. Cut me a break, kiddo.

I am so glad that Nate gets home today. And I really really really want these teeth to come in and stop driving my baby girl insane, because she is driving me insane.

Holy MOLAR

I'm terrible about posting lately!

The kids are great. We are suffering through the arrival of molars. Luke has had no problem with all of his teeth until these ~ Our little man is a bit fussy, easily frustrated, and out of sorts. Hopefully this passes soon ~ the first one has now come in so hopefully it will get easier from here. Jules is going to her first wedding this weekend, in fact she will be one month old on the day of the wedding! Luke is staying home with Grandma all weekend (HUGE thanks Grandma!) ~ and I feel anxious as I try to get it all together to get Luke squared away, get us all packed up, foodshop, organize, make lists etc etc....

I have some long overdue updating to do next week! Here are some pics for now.

First Floater

In the toilet, that is. Yesterday marked the first day that the little bugger threw something in the toilet. While I was brushing my teeth, the little guy sprint-crawled into the bathroom, picked up the toilet lid (which, shockingly, I had remembered to close) and proudly plunked on of the cute leather boots that you see in the pic above into the water. Luckily he put in in sole down, so I managed to fish it out before the lovely toilet water got into the inside of the shoe. Please ignore his filthy clothes in the pic, his top tooth is just cutting through and he is a drool machine. The other picture is Luke digging into his first Thanksgiving Day Turkey. It was a huge hit.

Luke has a new obsession.....the "I'M GONNA GET YOU GAME" now is played over and over in our house. He laughs so hard he literally takes his own breath away. He loves the "chase" and has to turn around every 5 feet to make sure you are in hot pursuit. He crawls so fast in the getaway period that he sometimes face plants right into the floor, which only makes him laugh harder. I love this age.
