Luke and the calf named Buddy. This was hilarious. We had just toured the upper barn/hayloft and went down to learn about the animals. We saw the draft horses, the Mama pig and her 8 piglets (nursing away, "just like Jake!" according to the kids)....and then this calf. He is 4 months old. Luke was petting him. I said, "Hey Luke, did you ask what his name is?" (meaning, ask our tour guide). Luke walked up to the calf's head and put his hands around his mouth and stage whispered "WHAT IS YOUR NAME?" to the baby cow. I'm still laughing as I type this. Is there anything sweeter than the innocence of children?

What better to do while enjoying Breakfast at Wimbleton on a thunder stormy rain pouring morning than introduce our children to the joys of roulette? Luke is a natural, hitting several times on his Mama's number (27). Inveterate gamblers, learning young.

Quiet Valley, a gem of the Poconos. I had never been there, but instantly wanted to live there. Live there with electric lighting, air conditioning, high end washers and dryers and a farm manager, of course. Hobby farm in my future, swear it.

Luke and his handsome Daddy.

King Jake relaxing on Dad in the pool on a lovely summer day.

Happy boy and my nose.
Many, many thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful weekend. We love you!
