Uncle Rich and Aunt Becca

Welcome (again!) to the family, Rich! You and Becca threw one hell of a wedding, and I hope that you are having a perfect, relaxing, joyous honeymoon. Becca, you were the picture of grace and elegance, I have never seen such a beautiful bride. Rich, I said how I feel in my toast at the wedding, but I am thrilled to call you my brother. You are going to make a wonderful husband to my sister, and you already are a wonderful Uncle to our kids. We are so proud of you guys and love you so much.

I am in hard core catch up mode. With Nate away most of last week, the rehersal, wedding, and Nate away most of this week I feel as though I am behind on everything. Its amazing to me that I had to complete 8 full loads of laundry, clean the whole house and foodshop just to catch up from two full days of babysitters/being away from the house. Kids just don't stop going, they don't stop eating, they don't stop needing diapers, or food, or waking up at 6.30 am (argh). I don't realize how in a routine I am with them until I spend a few days out of the routine.....it is so hard to catch up!

Weekend Recap

Aunt Becca's wedding shower was a ton of fun. The countdown to the wedding is on!

Luke's cake was a hit.

Luke kicking back in his new chair with his new ball. The ball is his new favorite thing. He insisted on it "sleeping" on the pillow next to him in bed last night.

Luke in his bed. He transitioned easily and quickly into his new 'big guy bed' about 2 weeks ago. He has been taking 3.5 to 4 hour naps for the past 2 weeks so I would say that it's a hit.

Julia, rocking the funniest teeny tiny pigtail ever known to man. I was laughing so hard that Nate had to kiss her and tell her that mullets were ALL the rage.

It was a fantastic, if exhausting weekend. When asked his age, Luke is enjoying holding up two fingers and saying "big two". It makes me laugh. Becca had a wonderful shower and is a ridiculously beautiful and gracious bride to be. Julia welcomed the first tiny peek at a top tooth, and is taking up to three steps at a time now. And I am BEAT. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day.

My sweet darling wonderful beautiful talented smart and giving sister got ENGAGED today! I have been literally bursting trying to keep the secret.

Rich, I could not possibly be more excited to welcome you into the family and to call you my brother!

Huge congrats to you guys. We are simply so thrilled and excited for you. I love you both, and cant think of a better suited couple. I wish you all of the joy in the world as you look forward to a future together.
