The big Sibs

Luke was calling my name at 5 am yesterday, he never wakes up then.

I went into his bedroom. I asked him what was wrong. He said, "Nothing Mama, I just wanted to give the new baby a hug". I stepped closer to his bed, he threw his arms around my belly and said "Oh, I love you new baby, I can't wait to meet you", then said ~ "Thank you Mama, night night" and then rolled over and went back to sleep.

I think that the kids are ready. I am so excited for them to meet this new person who is going to be part of their life as long as they live. We are all ready. 5 days till my due date. Any day now.

it is so amazing how excited luke and jules are for this baby - you should write a book on how to prepare kids to be big sibs - you've clearly done it the right way. I can't wait till baby trey comes to be who he/she IS, instead of being "JUST LIKE" someone else.

Luke's Milestones

3 writing and identifying his name
32 months ~ dressing and undressing himself
29 months ~ potty trained
26 mos ~ singing the alphabet.
26 mos ~ Singing songs, "reading" books to himself or to Julia
Almost 2 ~ No more crib, bed only
23 Months ~ Knows all of the letters of the Alphabet
22 Mos~ Knows primary colors, some letters, some numbers. Using 3 word sentences.
20 Mos ~ The whole "pee'd in potty" thing several times a day
18 Mos ~ First Sentence "I did it!"
15 months ~ Entirely self feeding with a spoon/fork
15 mos~ Walking backwards
13 mos ~ Running and jumping
11 Mos ~ First words "Ma Ma" "Da Da"
10 Mos ~ tablefood only
10 Months exactly ~ Walking!
9 Months ~ First steps!
9 Months ~ Waving and pointing
8 Months ~ Free Standing
Almost 8 months ~ First Tooth!
7 Months ~ Walking behind push toys
7 Months ~ Cruising Furniture
6 Months 1 week ~ Pulling to standing
6 months ~ Crawling!
5.5 Months ~ getting into a seated position unassisted
5 Months ~ First Solids
4 Months ~ sitting up
14 ~ Weeks Laughing out Loud
14 weeks~ Rolled from Back to Front
7 weeks ~ Rolled from front to back
